Yesterday I was updating my email signature because of an restructuring of the organisation. There I found a place where I could type in my titel. I thought why not and pressed the change button. But just as I had pressed the button I stopped for a moment thinking: "what should I write?" The obvious answer quickly came, the same titel thats on the paycheck. But then again, I couldnt resist toying with the idea, that I had a choice. I could litteraly create my own identity. It aint a new thing that titels are becoming more and more important, in the big scheme of inventing your own life. The modern crusade, to invent yourself.

Its is more cool to be a social pedagog, than just a regular pedagog. I turned around and asked the nearest collegue, and she said that she'd pick Home tutor, reconing thats what she do - help people organise their lives.

Another collegue comes in, and I quickly ask - whats your work titel? He promptly replies: "Resource person, I help people finding their ressources". While this plays out, I cant bring my mind of the thought that my titel should be 'Proffesional motivator', as this is whay I do, I help motivate people in the direction they want to move.

So... What the story behind all of this, not sure - but I guess the narrative approach to life is an essential part of the modern society: You create your own story, with yourself as the protagonist!
